What is your overall impression of horse racing?

Please let me know what you guys think about horse racing. This includes the whole experience, from gambling to watching the race.

1. i don't like the gambling, the horse race is alright, mainly only good in the Kentucky Derby when you are really rooting for a horse to get the triple crown

   Of course, that's just an opinion.
5. I personally would like more insight into what you are looking for. I can give you both the backside of the track experience (having interned as a groom) to the purchasing horses off the track to the spectator point.
   
   As a groom/backside person its very hectic! early mornings, trainers who are set in their ways, lots of pampering many many horses. But the experience is like no other, a place where old remedies that are tried and true are still used instead of the latest and greatest. While they may be some who are crooks, there are many good trainers who can get miracles out of horses and have a ton to teach you....
6. It's more exciting than Nazcar, although not much different. Running around in circles doesn't excite me much.
7. I don't watch hoarse racing much. Overall, I don't like the type of gambling that occurs with events such as hoarse racing. I do, however like some of the events that occur on TV, especially in our local area.
8. I don't like the gambling but I don't mid the horse racing its self. They usually treat horses well because they want them to do well!
9. I love it all!! I have worked with racehorses for the last 5 years and just love it!! I also love just being able to sit back and watch the horses run when I'm not working and even gamble a little bit!!
10. I love to watch the races. I am not really a gambler except I wager on the horses with my own system I developed over a period of two years. When I was a youngster we had horses at home. I find in general that most people that prefer other sports are really not that knowledgeable about the subject. Thanks for asking.
11. I love it.It is fun to wager if you realize you can lose or win.Watching the race is heartpounding excitement! The only thing I don't like is when a jockey or a horse get hurt.I hate that part.
12. i like the racing part of it. but the other stuff like the city pple betting on them and they dont even know anything at all about horses, that part is stupid. and the clothes they wear....jeeeez!
